Associated Press Uncalled Races
Worcester & Middlesex (Senate) – Local media has reported that incumbent Republican Dean Tran has lost to Democrat John Cronin in the Worcester and Middlesex district, but the final ballots are still being counted.
7th Hampden (House) – The 7th Hampden district race remains uncalled with Democrat Jacob Oliveira ahead by fewer than 200 votes. Republican candidate James Harrington is requesting a recount.
5th Plymouth (House) – The 5th Plymouth district has not been officially called, but local media has reported that Republican Dave DeCoste has been re-elected.
3rd Worcester (House) – Democrat Michael Kushmerek leads by 9 percentage points and local media has reported him as the winner.
Ballot Questions
Question 1 – Motor Vehicle Mechanical Data – Question 1 passed, and the changes to the law will be effective beginning with cars manufactured with a model year of 2022. The ballot question language can be found here.
Question 2 – Ranked Choice Voting – Question 2 did not pass. The state will not adopt ranked choice voting.
