Small businesses are the backbone of the Greater Boston economy.

In fact, Massachusetts is home to over 700,000 small businesses that employee 1.5 million people. And at the Chamber, more than half of our members are small businesses.

We don't take these statistics lightly. We support small businesses through:
  • Public policy initiatives that advocate for small business interests
  • Events designed to connect small businesses in Greater Boston to their peers and established business leaders
  • Professional development offerings for small business owners and their employees
  • Free small business advising through Small Business Strong

Our Small Business Strong Initiative

Small Business Strong (SBS) began in March of 2020 as a shared response to help Massachusetts small businesses navigate the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
