Chamber president & CEO, Jim Rooney, joined Boston Globe reporter, Jon Chesto, on WGBH’s Greater Boston with host, Jim Braude, on Tuesday night to discuss the benefits of landing the GE world headquarters in Boston. Jim compared the deal to the Red Sox landing David Price, noting that this is a high profile “signing”, with a lot of potential, but now they have to prove themselves and deliver on the kinds of things they say they will do.
“Anytime one of the largest companies in the world, that has such a focus on innovation, technology and growth, chooses your city through a competitive process, it is spoken loud and clear to the rest of the country and indeed the world that this is a place that a company like this belongs.”
