Learning & Development
While the Chamber is and was extremely proud of this professional development offering, all programs require reassessment and redevelopment periods. As part of a five year learning & development strategic plan, our team is currently creating an enhanced and more robust virtual certificate covering workplace cohesion, optimization, and employee belonging. We remain committed to the principles of this program and encourage you to visit our DEI Resource Hub in the meantime. The Chamber created this program in the fall and winter of 2019 with its partner, Diversity @ Workplace, and launched it in the spring of 2020 just as the world turned upside down from the COVID-19 pandemic and America experienced a continued racial reckoning. Considered one of the first of its kind offered to a wide business community, the Transformational DEI Certificate offered professionals at all levels of their organizations a pathway to develop better tools and processes for "doing the work." Unlike other DEI courses, participants learned from and problem-solved with expert facilitators and peers. At its height, the Chamber offered this program four times per year to meet the unprecedented demand. Throughout the five years this program was offered, it was consistently the highest ranked learning & development program with Net Promoter Scores ranging from 60 - 80. In its final cycle, the program earned an NPS of 77.
As we continue to redevelop our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program, we are committed to providing resources that empower individuals and organizations to foster an inclusive and equitable workplace. This resource hub serves as a starting point to help you build a comprehensive DEI strategy, focusing on key areas such as vision development, inclusive culture, diverse talent pipelines, and heightened awareness.
