Today we are featuring Taylor Pederson, Marketing Director of Colliers and member of the BIMA board. Uncover Taylor’s career journey, the impact of becoming a BIMA board member on her professional growth, and her valuable insights.
From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by how people interact with spaces. Growing up overseas, I had the privilege of exploring historical sites, from ancient ruins to entire cities, and I’ve always been intrigued by how civilizations used space to build communities. This curiosity has guided my career, driving my passion for understanding what shapes development and fosters community.
My career became more focused when I joined NAIOP MA as the Vice President of Events and Programs. In this role, I built relationships with developers and architects, working together to plan educational programming for real estate industry professionals. During this time, I gained a deeper understanding of how Boston’s communities evolved through development, and I grew increasingly interested in how spaces are marketed and what makes them stand out.
This passion led me to Neoscape, where I focused on learning the art and strategy of marketing commercial properties. I learned how developers create demand for spaces and how to center people in the narrative of development. Today, as the Marketing Director for Colliers, I continue to apply these insights, crafting strategies that highlight the intersection of people, place, and development.
I have enjoyed the opportunity to meet marketers outside of my industry and expand my knowledge.
Always seek out knowledge and keep people at the center of your work.
