A New Vision for the Chamber Foundation

December 19, 2023 James E. Rooney, President & CEO

Dear Chamber Community,

The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce continues to lead in creating a vibrant business community throughout the Commonwealth. Our region’s talent, workforce, entrepreneurs, and small businesses are pillars of our successful economy and need strategic investments to remain competitive.

Today, we are excited to introduce you to a reimagined Chamber Foundation, a dynamic non-profit committed to transforming the lives of people and communities to advance our region into the 21st-century economy. Join us on this journey today – we welcome new partnerships, opportunities, and support for the Foundation.

Championing People

While the Chamber Foundation has existed for many years, we are leveraging the Chamber’s leadership as the convener, voice, and advocate of our region’s dynamic business community. The impact of the Foundation will be transformative for people throughout the Commonwealth, including students, the workforce, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. We are positioned to drive change and alleviate large scale challenges that will bring a brighter future to our residents.

Transformative Talent Pathways

One of the key areas of focus for the Chamber Foundation is creating pathways for untapped talent. We are dedicated to unlocking career opportunities that generate economic mobility and build generational wealth. By strategically aligning education with the demands of a 21st-century economy, we can make a significant impact on individuals and families throughout our region. We encourage our members to support and participate in initiatives aimed at providing skills and opportunities to our workforce of today while readying our workforce of tomorrow.

Thriving & Successful Commerce

Small businesses are the heart of our community and a pillar of our economy. The Chamber Foundation is committed to assisting and supporting these businesses in their pursuit of success. Our programs share best practices, help small business navigate challenges and open doors to economic inclusion while creating a healthy economy and urging businesses to lead as good corporate citizens. Chamber members can play a pivotal role by contracting with small businesses as well as providing advice, resources, and actively engaging in the development and legacy of small businesses in our community.

Breakthrough Leadership

The future is forged by leaders who are skilled, agile, engaged and committed to the future of their communities. With our Foundation programming, we aim to cultivate tomorrow’s civically minded business leaders. These leaders will have the tools to break through barriers and drive positive change for themselves, their businesses, and the broader community.

Support the Chamber Foundation
