10th ANNUAL OCTOBER FOR ELLIE: Ellie Fund is Painting the Town Pink This October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Ellie Fund turns awareness into impact with its annual October for Ellie campaign. All month long, retail stores, spas/salons, restaurants, police & fire departments, businesses, sports teams, and individuals all across the Commonwealth are teaming up to support local breast cancer patients.
Ellie Fund is excited to announce that this year more than a dozen communities and shopping districts are turning PINK in support of Ellie Fund including Braintree, Charles Street on Beacon Hill, Chestnut Hill, Harvard Square in Cambridge, Hingham, Marblehead, Needham, Newton, Osterville, Plymouth, Somerville, Swampscott, and Wellesley. The campaign will kick off in spectacular fashion on October 1, when several iconic landmarks will turn Boston’s skyline pink—including the Zakim Bridge and the Prudential Center.
From storefronts and neighborhoods to bridges and buildings, October for Ellie is a powerful reminder that when communities come together, awareness can become action—and action can make a real difference for breast cancer patients.
Ellie Fund would like to enlist the help of our fellow Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce members to spread the word and bring breast cancer awareness to your communities!

Ellie Fund’s personalized approach to help complete a patient’s circle of care makes us uniquely positioned to assist breast cancer patients and their families.
Ellie Fund addresses the everyday burdens and expenses that can make breast cancer treatment harder and helps fund a variety of support services that patients can choose from depending on their own unique circumstances. Patients can apply directly on our website at www.elliefund.org.
Not only does Ellie Fund provide individual grants to patients, we also work with hospitals, community health centers, healthcare providers, and community organizations, while pursuing health-equity initiatives, patient advocacy, research, and systemic change. Our Equitable Pathways initiative specifically focuses on removing barriers that can lead to missed appointments or treatment disruptions.
Ellie Fund offers support when patients need it most while going through their breast cancer treatment, regardless of financial or immigration status or insurance coverage, because no one should face breast cancer alone.
