Shaping Culture is a podcast strategy and production company, led by Ted Canova, former News Director at WGBH-TV and Radio. Ted and his team of award-winning producers help clients improve branding, employee engagement, company culture, and thought leadership.
We have been podcasting for 16 years, before the word ‘podcasting’ existed. Two of our recent successes involve two different podcasting formats. One is a narrative storytelling series, “Six Days Inside Minnesota”, where Ted embedded himself as a journalist in the state he called home for 17 years, to uncover untold stories of the government’s immigration crackdown.

Another is an interview format where our newest client Babson College hired us to produce season 2 of its podcast, “From Problems to Possibilities: Entrepreneurial Leadership in Action.” In this dynamic podcast series, we pose a problem, enlist visionaries within the Babson community and beyond, and explore how entrepreneurial leadership can lead to a possible solution.

Shaping Culture works with local and global businesses to improve internal and external communications. Each year, we also provide our podcasting services, pro bono, to one non-profit organization.
Our company is rooted in serious journalism. Before podcasts, we worked in award-winning newsrooms, so we know how to produce content that earns attention and trust. As a boutique podcast agency, our clients’ investment goes into their podcast series, not overhead.
