Don’t miss this one-on-one conversation with Massachusetts Supreme Court Chief Justice Kimberly Budd, the first black female Chief, as we hear about her leadership and her journey to earning the title few judges ever do!
Chief Justice Kimberly S. Budd, the first Black woman and the youngest Chief Justice in Massachusetts in over 150 years, was sworn in by Governor Charlie Baker to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court on December 1, 2020. Chief Justice Budd is a distinguished and highly respected leader, continuing to inspire women, people of color, and many more communities across the Commonwealth and beyond.
Join us for this conversation with Chief Justice Budd as she shares her leadership journey and accession to one of the highest Judicial appointments. She will discuss how she breaks barriers in a predominantly white male court and industry, and how serving during this most recent of racial reckonings has helped to shape her legacy. As Chief Justice Budd continues to motivate and influence future generations of women, she will review her vision for the Commonwealth as she continues in this prestigious role. Moderated by Courtney Scrubbs, Corporate Council, Axiom & Past President, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association!
