Are you a new manager or new to managing remotely and wondering how to support your colleagues from afar – this session is for you!
Many of us are experiencing a fully dispersed workplace for the first time and asking ourselves how best to manage and motivate our employees. Join City Awake for an interactive session where we will explore best practices of managing a remote workforce from a theoretical and practical standpoint. Whether you are a new manager, new to managing remotely, or wondering how to support your colleagues from afar – this session is for you!
In this session we’ll be joined by two conversation catalysts. Prof. Tsedal Neeley, Naylor Fitzhugh Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, who will share what the research says about managing remotely and then we’ll welcome Jennifer Reimert from Workhuman, who will discuss her with firsthand experience. The program will also feature guided discussion in small groups via the breakout room feature, and a live Q&A.
This webinar is an event of City Awake, and part of our #SkillUP series.
Our City Awake programming is designed to build community, engage civically-minded next-gen leaders in dialogue about the most pressing issues facing our region, and celebrate the incredible young talent in Greater Boston.
Our #SkillUP series is a webinar series to engage Boston’s workforce to become even better at their digital skills as they manage work and manage themselves through COVID-19. Sessions will focus on the actions an individual can take during this time to be a better contributor, manager, or leader in their company and society.
This session is free to members and non-members, but registration is required.
