Government Affairs Forum

Mayor Michelle Wu is working to make Boston a home for everyone. During her time in office, she has prioritized housing affordability, public safety, youth summer jobs, and expanded access to early education. As a Boston Public Schools parent, daughter of immigrants, and MBTA commuter, Mayor Wu brings a personal perspective to her work building a stronger future for Boston and its residents.

Join more than 600 business, civic, nonprofit, and community leaders from across Greater Boston for the Chamber’s first fall Government Affairs Forum. During her annual address to the Chamber, Mayor Wu will discuss her vision for Boston and share perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing the city. Following her remarks, Mayor Wu will participate in a fireside chat with Chamber President & CEO James Rooney. This signature event provides a unique opportunity to hear directly from one of Boston’s key civic leaders while connecting with professionals from across the region.

WHY ATTEND

Hear Directly from Policy Makers — Government Affairs Forums bring together leaders from business, government, higher education, healthcare, nonprofits, and the broader civic community. Attend one of the Chamber’s premier events to better understand the issues, trends, and decisions shaping the region’s economic and civic landscape.

Expand Your Network — Connect with professionals from across industries and sectors while building relationships that extend beyond the event itself.

Invest in Your Emerging Leaders — Government Affairs Forums offer emerging professionals a unique opportunity to connect with leaders, gain new perspectives, and deepen their understanding of the issues shaping Greater Boston. Consider bringing your rising talent to help them build connections and grow professionally.

Young professionals can further their civic engagement by attending our Roundtable with City of Boston Chief of Staff, Clare Kelly before the Forum. Hosted by the Chamber Foundation’s Young Bostonians Collective, this intimate discussion provides a unique opportunity to engage with City leadership in a smaller, conversation-driven setting before joining hundreds of business and civic leaders at the Forum.

ABOUT GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS FORUMS

Our Government Affairs Forums provide a platform for professionals to gain valuable insight from prominent government officials, build a strong network in the business and government communities, and engage in important policy issues impacting their region.

Space is limited and expected to fill quickly. We encourage interested attendees to register early for this special opportunity.

Mayor Michelle Wu is working to make Boston a home for everyone. Since taking office, she has invested more in making housing affordable than any other administration in Boston’s history. In her first full year as mayor, gun violence fell to the lowest level on record—and has continued to fall every year since. She promised a summer job to every BPS student who wanted one—and delivered, and has expanded Universal Pre-K to serve more children and families than ever before.

As a Boston Public Schools mom, a daughter of immigrants, and an MBTA commuter, Mayor Wu is investing in building community for Boston’s brightest future.
