Dr. Lee Pelton’s thinking is both local and global. As the 11th president of Emerson College, Pelton is driven by the transformation of the College’s presence in our downtown, and expanding its footprint beyond Boston.
Dr. Lee Pelton’s thinking is both local and global. As the 11th president of Emerson College, Pelton is driven by the transformation of the College’s presence in our downtown, and expanding its footprint beyond Boston. Whether through campuses in Los Angeles and the Netherlands, or its new Global Portals program which partners with institutions to enable abroad students to graduate from Emerson, Pelton is throwing open the doors to the world’s most talented creatives, including comedians: Emerson launched the first-of-its-kind comedic arts major in higher education back in 2016.
Dr. Pelton is a frequent speaker on the importance of leadership development, civic engagement, and diversity in higher education. We can’t think of a more fitting leader to join us in our final Words of Wisdom Dinner of 2018.
Words of Wisdom Dinners are a complement to our Lunches on Leadership. In this series, a very senior leader joins a small group of roughly 30 people for a conversation about incredible milestones we’ve observed in their career. We pick their brain on highs and lows, and leave plenty of time for questions.
