Chamber, Accenture & Massachusetts Business Roundtable Co-Host Launch of Massachusetts Apprentice Network
On March 16, 2022, the Massachusetts Apprentice Network officially launched. The Chamber co-hosted a hybrid launch event with Accenture and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, which featured employers, apprentices, and talent organizations. The Massachusetts Apprentice Network is a solution that champions diverse talent, transformative career pathways, inclusive workplaces, and contributes to closing the wealth gap.
James E. Rooney, President & CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, said these jobs can help his members broaden their talent pools to prevent worker shortages and diversify their staffs. “It really fits with the strategic priorities of the business community to nurture and create the 21st-century workforce that Boston needs to sustain its growth,” Rooney said.
With this launch, there is already an exciting network of employers and talent partners committed to the goal of 1,000 apprenticeships in 5 years, including Beth Israel Lahey Health, Cengage Group, Liberty Mutual, Wayfair, Apprenti, Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, Bunker Hill Community College, and Year Up and YUPRO.
