For over 40 years, they have connected volunteers with elders through programs like Friendly Visiting, offering companionship and support to those facing the challenges of aging alone. Join their mission to help brighten someone’s life and ensure no one in our community feels forgotten.
To improve the health of individuals facing critical or chronic illnesses, Community Servings caters nutritious, medically tailored meals delivered right to their door. Annually, they prepare and deliver over a million meals to families in need, offering 16 specialized diets to support their health and well-being. Community Servings provides a vital service, ensuring clients receive meals for as long as needed, with the flexibility to adjust as their medical needs change. By volunteering or donating, you can help provide wholesome, scratch-made meals to those who need them most.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston works towards empowering children and teens to achieve their full potential. Guided by core values of integrity, community, equity, and innovation, the Clubs’ volunteers create inclusive spaces where every young person is celebrated, heard, and supported. Rosie’s Place, the first women-only shelter in the United States, serves women facing extraordinary challenges, providing meals, clothing, advocacy, and support to help them rebuild their lives. The mission of the Greater Boston Food Bank is to ensure everyone in Eastern Massachusetts has access to three healthy meals a day. Last year, they distributed 117 million pounds of nutritious food to individuals and families struggling with hunger, building healthier lives and communities.
