Thank you for joining us for an inspiring fireside chat with Helen Doody, a seasoned financial market professional and mother of three boys. With over 20 years of experience spanning trading and business development across Ireland, the UK, and the United States, Helen brought a wealth of insight into navigating a dynamic global career while balancing the demands of motherhood.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Helen grew up in a society where many mothers stayed at home with their children due to restrictive laws through 1973. It wasn’t until she moved to the United States that she realized how those norms may have limited the potential of so many women of her generation and generations before her—not just individually, but collectively as a society. That realization became a driving force in her own journey, fueling her commitment to both her career and her family.
In a conversation led by Caitlin Dodge, Helen shared candid reflections on transitioning between countries and roles, the challenges and triumphs of being a career-driven mom in high-stakes finance, and how she carved out a path that aligned with both her professional ambitions and personal values.
Whether attendees were managing their own career transitions, balancing work and family, or simply seeking inspiration from a woman who has done both with grace and grit—this was a conversation that left a lasting impression.
