Break Barriers, Embrace Balance

We are living and working through a national mental health crisis while navigating a global reduction in employee well-being and satisfaction. Centering health and resilience at the individual employee level has become a business priority in order to ensure longer term employee retention and happiness.

Thank you for joining us for an immersive experience exploring the fundamental aspects of wellness. We hope you cultivated your understanding of social, physical, financial, and emotional wellness with our featured speaker.

Donation items for Cradles to Crayons:
  • Clothing/jacket youth sizes 0-20 and adult sizes small & medium
  • Shoes infant/child sizes 5-13 and adult sizes 1-10

The Wellness Reimagined series will share how we got to this inflection point and highlight innovative best practices from leading experts and employers through forums and interactive convening.

Nieisha Deed is a powerful emerging voice and leader in the mental health and wellness space in Boston and is working fiercely to advocate for mental wellness in Boston’s Black community. She is the visionary and creator behind PureSpark. As a person living with bipolar disorder, Nieisha understands all too well how important access to holistic support services and community are to one’s mental wellness.

As a Black woman, Nieisha is a community builder and disruptor in the mental health and wellness space. She is dismantling the walls of silence by raising awareness about mental illness and wellness, not just through PureSpark, but with speaking engagements and facilitated events, where she shares her personal story as a Black woman living with a mental illness.

Because the Black community has historically been left out of the conversations about mental health and wellness, Nieisha feels that it’s vital to share her personal experience and voice with her community. Through her leadership, Nieisha shatters the shame around mental illnesses, creates access to mental health support, and shows us that healing is possible.

She is the recipient of the “Leadership in Suicide Prevention Award” by the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention; has been recognized for her commitment to the Mental Health Advocacy by the City of Boston; and was selected as one of the 2022 “Ten Outstanding Young Leaders” by the Boston Chamber of Commerce and City Awake.

Nieisha is a regular speaker, panelist, and facilitator at events, which in 2022 included the “Growing and Glowing” panel at the Boston While Black Summit; “Sisters, Can We Talk,” hosted by the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; facilitating a discussion on Hip Hop and Emotional Intelligence, with Dr. Obari Cartman; and speaking at the F.A.M.I.L.Y Movement Brunch.

Amy Miller is the healer/owner of Healing Haus, where she combines “The Work and The Woo” to empower clients to take their healing into their own hands. She is passionate about guiding people back to their authentic selves and providing a sense of calm and grounded safety in the process. Amy is driven by an insatiable desire for growth, has far too many plants & crystals, and loves her kitty dearly. Sound Bath: A sound bath is an immersive listening experience. Crystal sound bowls are played at frequencies which align the energy centers, bringing balance, grounding, and a sense of wellbeing. The sound waves also slow the brain waves to promote a more meditative and relaxed state.
