Our Annual Meeting is the top business event of the year! This year’s theme is Boston Business Forward. There is no going back, only forward together.

Annual Meeting registration is officially CLOSED. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday! 

Our Annual Meeting is the top Greater Boston business convening of the year, and this year we are committed to bringing our community together virtually. Historically drawing more than 1,800 of the region’s leaders for a celebration of our Greater Boston business community and thriving economy, we hope you will join us as we make this year even bigger, and more accessible than ever before.

Moving Boston Business Forward is the only direction. The future of work is here and our region and community are ready to take on the challenges of a changed world. Despite the true hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chamber’s diverse membership continues to lead the tough conversations and effort demanded to move our economy forward and keep our region, businesses, and people thriving long term. There is no going back, only forward together. 

Join us as we welcome leaders in business and government, a keynote speaker, musical performances, and the newest award winners who will be inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Bostonians. This iconic event is one you won’t want to miss!

Everything you need to know:

What is included? 

  • Networking with the region’s top leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs, inspiration from our incredible inductees, entertainment, and musical performance by local musicians. 

How do I network, virtually? 

  • Click here for a recent webinar that provides tips on how to expand your network remotely.  
     

How do I register?  

  • Registration is closed! You will receive information about how to access our virtual platform after you register.  
  • If you purchased multiple tickets, we will need the list of your guest names, affiliations, and email addresses by 5 p.m., June 26. If you are a member, you can also add your guest list details through our member portal here.  
     

What should I bring?  

  • An interest in connecting virtually with professionals from all industries and career stages and a curiosity to learn from this year’s inductees. Oh, and don’t forget a pen and paper to jot down your favorite quotes from the program!  

What do I wear?  

  • Please come dressed for your day! 

I’d like to support local restaurants, where can I order from during the event?

Can I register day of the event or do I need to register in advance? 

  • You must register in advance. Registration closes on Friday, June 26. We cannot accept registrations after this date.

Who will “be there”? 

  • To view the current list of attendees, click here.  
     

How do I get “there”? 

  • Please register by Friday, June 26 so that you have enough time to review your confirmation email. You will receive an email with your unique link to join the program 1-2 days before the event.  
     

When should I “arrive”?  

  • The program will take place from 3:30-5 p.m. EST. We recommend logging in on a few minutes early to be sure you are settled for the start of the program.  

Will a recording of the event be available? 

  • Our 2020 Annual Meeting will not be available as a recorded event.  
     

What is the refund policy? 

  • All individual ticket cancellations and refund requests must be received by Monday, June 22, 2020 to avoid being charged or to receive a refund.

As CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital, Sandi L. Fenwick leads the nation’s foremost independent pediatric hospital and the world’s leading center of pediatric medical and health research. She has been a driving force to improve the effectiveness and efficacy of the care provided at Boston Children’s while at the same time reducing the costs of care. She is a tireless advocate for children’s health and has been instrumental in developing strategies that position Boston Children’s as the scientific and thought leader in pediatric health. Sandi joined Boston Children’s 1999 and served as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and President before becoming President and CEO in 2013. Prior to her arrival at Boston Children’s, Sandi served as Senior Vice President of System Development for CareGroup, Inc. She also served in a number of senior executive roles at the Beth Israel Hospital in operations, strategy and business development. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of CRICO, Ltd. (Cayman), Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically-inspired Engineering, Children’s Hospital Association, Children’s Hospitals Solutions for Patient Safety, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, MASCO, Inc, Jobs for Massachusetts, Inc., Massachusetts Digital Health Council and Boston Children’s Hospital. Jerry is president of Citizens Bank, Massachusetts and head of Corporate Banking for the Northeast Region that includes New England and New York State. He also leads Citizens Financial Group’s state president organization and co-chaired the bank’s outside board of advisors. His background spans across commercial banking and includes leading the bank’s middle market and not-for-profit platforms across its 11-state footprint, the mid-corporate business for Northeast and heading the community giving board for New England. Jerry is also a principal of Citizens Capital Markets, Inc., the firm’s broker dealer. He has long held an active interest in improving the vitality of the Massachusetts economy as a resident and business leader. Today Jerry serves on the executive committee of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, chairing its Membership Committee and participating on its Nominating and Governance Committee. He also serves on the board of the Massachusetts Bankers Association. In 2011 Governor Patrick appointed him to the Massachusetts Economic Development Planning Council. He was named by the Boston Business Journal as one of the 50 most influential leaders in Boston. Jerry formerly served as the chairman of MassEcon as well as a board member of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Association, Massachusetts Business Roundtable and Boston Financial Services Leadership Council. With an interest in serving the needs of his community, he presently serves on the board of trustees of Camp Harbor View and The Durkin Foundation. Jerry was a former member of the board of trustees of the New England Baptist Hospital, the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and Boston Children’s Hospital (overseer). Nitin Nohria became the tenth Dean of Harvard Business School on July 1, 2010. He is also the George F. Baker Professor of Administration. He previously served as co-chair of the Leadership Initiative, Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Development, and head of the organizational behavior unit. He joined the HBS faculty in July 1988. Building on input from faculty, students, staff, and alumni, Nohria has identified five priorities for HBS: (1) innovation in the School’s educational programs, beginning with the MBA Program; (2) intellectual ambition that advances ideas with impact in practice; (3) continued internationalization, through building a global intellectual footprint; (4) creation of a culture of inclusion, where every member of the community can do his or her best work in support of the School’s mission; and (5) fostering a culture of integration within HBS and across Harvard University that acts as a catalyst for entrepreneurship. Dean Nohria has taught courses across the School’s MBA, doctoral, and Executive Education programs. His intellectual interests center on human motivation, leadership, corporate transformation and accountability, and sustainable economic and human performance. He is a coauthor or coeditor of 16 books. Dean Nohria received a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a doctorate in management from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Andrew Dreyfus is President and Chief Executive Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA), one of largest independent Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in the country, with nearly 3 million members. Andrew has been recognized as a national leader on many of the country’s most challenging health care issues including payment innovation, end of life and serious illness care, and substance use disorder. He currently serves on the boards of the National Institute for Health Care Management, Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, Jobs for Massachusetts, RIZE Massachusetts, and the New England Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Additionally, Andrew is a member of the Massachusetts Digital Health Council and the advisory boards of Ariadne Labs and the Leonard D. Lee Pelton is the 12th president of Emerson College in Boston. He is an internationally known speaker and writer on the value of a liberal education and the importance of leadership development, civic engagement, and diversity and inclusion in higher education. Pelton has outlined a bold vision for Emerson as the global hub for arts, communication, and the liberal arts. He is a well-respected thought and innovation leader, recognized in Boston Business Journal’s 50 Most Powerful Leaders (October 2018), Boston Magazine’s list of “100 Most Influential People in Boston” (April 2018), “The 21 Most Powerful People in Boston Business” (May 2017) and its list of “75 Bold Thinkers Who Are Shaping Our City and the World” (May 2014). Pelton began his academic career at Harvard University, where he earned a PhD in English literature. After Harvard, Pelton served as dean of the college at Colgate University and Dartmouth College and was president at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon for 13 years.
