This is a multi-day virtual event aimed at enhancing your skills and connecting with others. Each morning there will be keynotes, workshops, and wellness activities to choose from.

InfluenceHER Week is a multi-day event experience, founded by MITX, to enhance your skills, connect with others, share your challenges, and celebrate your achievements—all to get you that much closer to your definition of professional and personal success.

Last year, leaders from House Beautiful, charity: water, Stanley BLACK + DECKER, John Hancock, Ellevest, and many others gathered for discussions around supporting others, growing empires, adapting to a changing industry, finding success in male-dominated fields and more.

This year, InfluenceHER Week is going VIRTUAL on July 13 – 16, in partnership with the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network. Join us for an unforgettable week of inspiring, actionable content, and wellness activities.

Kadesh Conroy has transcended many borders in her lifetime. Her first came while leaving her birthplace, Kingston, Jamaica, and arriving in the United States at the age of 10. She grew up in Boston’s neighborhood of Roxbury and attended Boston Public Schools, soon becoming the first in her family to be accepted to college after graduating Boston Latin Academy. Kadesh received her Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and also earned her Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Human Resources Management and Information Systems at Northeastern University. While at Northeastern, she was awarded the New England Human Resource Professional Excellence Award. Kadesh’s people strategy and leadership development experience began with her role as HR Generalist for Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Explorica (an educational travel company for students). She became the national Human Resources Director for the B.E.L.L. (Building Educated Leaders for Life) Foundation in 2015 and, in 2017, became Global Director of Human Resources for Ivy Gate International Education Group, a top higher education management company based in Shanghai, providing post-secondary preparation services to college-bound students in China and the United States. In addition to her work with IvyGate, Kadesh has extensive international business experience, beginning with an Economic Development internship in China and the former Czech Republic in the aftermath of the global recession. While in China, Kadesh spoke with private companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. Here she facilitated meetings with leadership to develop innovative Human Resource management strategies in response to global economic shocks. While in Prague, she researched and analyzed the effects of the surge of Foreign Direct Investment on human capital in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland. Kadesh also develops a variety of human resources solutions for social enterprises, nonprofits, educational institutions, and healthcare providers collaboration with her husband, Chris Conroy. Kadesh lives with Chris and their four children in Roxbury. She is a published author of books and journals, most notably 100 Ways 100 Days, a motivational text designed to train readers for peak performance through positive psychology. Her personal philosophy can be best described by her favorite quote, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Sheena Collier is a superconnector, convener, and strategic planner. Sixteen years ago, she moved to the Boston area to attend Harvard Graduate School of Education, after attending Spelman College in Atlanta. As a Black woman, she struggled to feel a sense of belonging at school and in the city. She didn’t know anyone or have a network, so she built one. Sheena started & joined organizations, became civically engaged, and hosted events that connected her to lots of different worlds, including education, politics, arts, community organizing, & business. She made connections that changed her life and learned techniques to navigate the city. This helped her build a broad network that she now leverages to benefit others. As Founder & CEO of The Collier Connection (TCC), Sheena is designing a portfolio of solutions that disrupt the ways that Black professionals seek information, access, and belonging in cities.
