The Pinnacle Awards is the premier event for women in business. The ceremony honors Greater Boston’s dynamic leading women for their contributions to the workplace and their commitment to every community. Greater Boston’s women in business are leading the region and world forward – with their influence and impact, they are building the industries and places that fortify the pillars of commerce. Every year, more than 1,200 attendees, including elected officials, business innovators, and next-gen leaders, convene to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our honorees.

Achievement in Arts & Education Aisha Francis, PhD, is the president of Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology and the first woman to lead the institution in its 115-year history. Dr. Francis was the managing director of Development for Harvard Medical School. She previously led development efforts for Economic Mobility Pathways and held leadership positions at the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and Boston Medical Center. She began her career as a college educator. Dr. Francis serves on the board of directors of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, WBUR, and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. She is an advocate for innovative policies and practices at the intersection of workforce development and post-secondary education aimed at drawing more untapped talent into the labor market. Dr. Francis received her BA from Fisk University and her MA and PhD in English Literature from Vanderbilt University. She resides in Hyde Park with her husband and two young children.

Jess Ackerman is an Audit & Assurance partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP (“Deloitte”), where she focuses on providing audit and accounting and reporting advisory services to technology clients. In her 20-plus years at Deloitte, Jess has worked with clients on complex accounting areas and reporting including revenue recognition, mergers and public exit events. Jess also serves as the Women & Allies community leader for New England and is passionate about the retention and advancement of women within Deloitte, as well as within the business community overall. Jess is also one of the leaders of the New England Board Ready Women Program and supports several non-profit groups related to the education and empowerment of women and families. Jess has been recognized by her teams for her technical excellence, commitment to outstanding client service, dedication as a mentor and inclusive champion for our professionals, and as a leader at Deloitte. Jess was also named a 2018 “Woman to Watch” by the Massachusetts Society of CPAs. Jess earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and lives in southern New Hampshire with her husband and three children.

Emerging Executive
Devanshi is an Associate Principal at Boston-based design firm CBT, with expertise in urban design, planning, and environmental resiliency. Her ongoing study of the interplay among societies, infrastructure, and our ever-changing climate drives her work to create connected, resilient, and equitable communities. She is a widely-sought speaker on how designers can creatively and sensitively mitigate the challenges of climate change in the built environment. Some of her recent notable work includes the Cambridge Crossing Master Plan, Suffolk Downs Master Plan, Copenhagen Urban Lab, Abu Dhabi Climate Resilience Initiative, and the Blueway at the New England Aquarium. Devanshi leads CBT’s annual Women in Design Initiative, including the curation of a storefront exhibit, monthlong speaker series, and targeted projects aimed to elevate and celebrate women design professionals. Devanshi holds a Master of Science in Architecture and Urbanism from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from MS University, India. She serves on Asia Initiatives’ Junior Board, Boston Harbor Now’s Board of Advisors, and the BSA Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Congresswoman Katherine Clark proudly serves the Fifth District of Massachusetts. She was first elected in a special election in December of 2013.  Katherine’s career in public service is driven by her commitment to helping children and families succeed. She is a vocal advocate for ending wage discrimination, protecting women’s health care, access to affordable, high-quality child care, paid family leave, safer schools, and other reforms to address the challenges women and families face. She believes that Congress must work to end the glaring disconnect between the needs of families at home and priorities in Washington. In Congress, she brings her experience as a state senator, state representative, general counsel for the Massachusetts Office of Child Care Services, and policy chief for the state attorney general. Katherine represents a diverse district comprised of 24 cities and towns that stretch from the coastal communities of Revere and Winthrop through the economic engine of MetroWest.   In fall 2020, she was elected by her colleagues to serve as Assistant Speaker of the 117th Congress after serving as the Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus during the previous session. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Steering and Policy Committee within the Caucus. Katherine is a member of the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations and three subcommittees within Appropriations: Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies; Legislative Branch; and Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies. Katherine is a proud member of several caucuses in Congress, including the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Women’s Caucus. Lauren Baker currently serves as the First Lady of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts alongside her husband, Governor Charlie Baker. As First Lady, Lauren works to improve the lives of the children of Massachusetts, focusing in particular on the children served by our Department of Children and Families through her work with the Wonderfund, a private, nonprofit that she helped launch. The Wonderfund provides resources and opportunities to children engaged with DCF so that they can experience the moments of childhood wonder that all children deserve. Lauren is a veteran of the advertising world in New York and Boston where she managed the development of brand campaigns for consumer products, technology companies and non-profit organizations. Today, Lauren focuses her time on building the Wonderfund. She also works as a marketing communications consultant, building brand strategies for independent schools with The Baker Group.  Her continued passion for service and social responsibility is evident through her commitment to a number of causes. Lauren actively serves on the Regional Board of Directors for American Red Cross of Massachusetts and is a founding member of the Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders. Lauren also serves on the Boards of the Wonderfund, Phoenix Charter Academy Foundation and The Care Institute. Lauren holds an undergraduate degree in English from Northwestern University and MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  She enjoys fitness, travel and wishes she could ski more often. Dr. Said is the founder and CEO of Outcomes4Me, a health technology company focused on providing patients diagnosed with cancer and other chronic diseases with personalized treatment options as well as outcomes information. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of two public immune-focused biotech companies, Transgene and Pieris Pharmaceuticals, and a venture-backed private biotech company, Home Biosciences. She was the COO of Celsius Therapeutics, an auto immune disease and cancer-focused biotech company. Prior to foundingOutcomes4Me, she spent many years as a senior pharmaceutical executive at both Novartis and Sanofi leading global functions, including Market Access, Policy, R&D Strategy and Business Development. Earlier in her career, she was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group and a founding member of its Strategy Institute. Sandra Cotterell, joined Codman Square Health Center in 1994 as COO and was appointed CEO in 2011. During her tenure she has built on a foundation of access to primary care that that engages consumers and embraces innovation. Ms. Cotterell serves on many boards of directors including Boston Medical Center, BMC HealthNet, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, and serves as President of Boston Accountable Care Organization Board. She is a contributing faculty member at the Kraft Center for Community Health, a guest lecturer at Harvard Chan School of Public Health and Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management, and has received a Doctor of Public Service honoris causa from Tufts University. Mary Anne Heino brings to Lantheus 30 years of diverse pharmaceutical industry experience. Joining Lantheus in April 2013 as Chief Commercial Officer, Ms. Heino was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in March 2015 and to President and Chief Executive Officer in August 2015. Prior to joining Lantheus, Ms. Heino led Angelini Labopharm LLC and Labopharm USA in the roles of President and Senior Vice President of World Wide Sales and Marketing. Prior to that, Ms. Heino served in numerous capacities at Centocor, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company, including Vice President, Strategic Planning and Competitive Intelligence; Vice President, Sales; Executive Director, Customer Relationship Management; and Senior Director, Immunology Marketing. In academia, private sector, government and media, Professor Juliette Kayyem is an international leader in crisis management and homeland security. Kayyem serves as the faculty chair of the Homeland Security and Security and Global Health Projects at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Previously, she served as President Obama’s Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security and as MA Governor Deval Patrick’s Homeland Security Advisor. She is also the CEO of Grip Mobility, a technology security company in the mobility space. A CNN national security analyst, Pulitzer Prize finalist, and contributor for The Atlantic and Boston’s local NPR station, GBH, Kayyem also advises governors, mayors, and corporations on crisis management. Juliette is the author or editor of six books, including her most recent “The Devil Never Sleeps: Learning to Live in an Age of Disasters.” Juliette lives in Cambridge, MA, with her husband, Judge David Barron, has three children.

    The Omni Seaport is within walking distance of the MBTA’s North Station, Silver Line (Congress St @ World Trade Center Station).
    Valet and self parking is available. We do not offer parking validation.

  • WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

    For the Friday, January 27 in person Awards Ceremony, registration & networking begins at 11:00 a.m. If you arrive earlier than 11:00 a.m., kudos to you for beating the traffic! The program will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m.

  • CAN I REGISTER AT THE EVENT OR DO I NEED TO REGISTER IN ADVANCE?

    Please resister in advance, tickets for the in person luncheon are limited and will sell out. Onsite registration will not be accepted.

  • COVID-19 POLICY


    • You are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the CDC.
    • You have not had a fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell that cannot be attributed to another health condition.
    • You have not had contact with a person known to be infected, potentially infected, or exposed to someone infected with COVID-19 within the previous 7 days. (Prior to the event date)

  • WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

    All individual ticket cancellations and refund requests must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the event to avoid being charged or to receive a refund. There are no cancellations permitted for any table sponsorship. There are no exceptions.

    Press and media wishing to cover the Pinnacle Awards should RSVP to Casey Baines.

In the case the Chamber cannot execute the in-person Awards Luncheon due to unforeseen circumstances and therefore must change to a virtual format, pricing will adjust and we will contact you on adjustments to your billing.
