The Greater Boston region is currently experiencing historic changes to its economic landscape. Inflation recently hit a three-decade high, as indicated by one key measure. COVID-19 measures and disruptions to the labor market have created a supply-chain crisis. Further, these trends will likely upend the upcoming holiday shopping season, particularly for low-income families and those disproportionately affected financially by the pandemic. Despite the extent of these impacts, Greater Boston has a unique opportunity to emerge from the COVID-19 era triumphantly and set the stage for an economically successful year ahead.
On Thursday, December 9, this free program will focus on the outlook of Greater Boston’s economy for the year ahead. Our distinguished speakers will examine how various industries may fare in 2022 and what indicators business professionals should continuously watch.
