Our Annual Meeting is the top business event of the year! This year’s theme is Recovery. Renewal. Renaissance. Our region’s revival is our new future.

Our Annual Meeting is the top Greater Boston business convening of the year, and this year we are committed to bringing our community together virtually again. The Annual Meeting, the preeminent business gathering in New England, attracts over 2,000 business and civic leaders from across the Commonwealth whether virtual or in person.

On May 19th, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce will host its second virtual Annual Meeting with the theme Recovery. Renewal. Renaissance. The pandemic and racial reckoning tested our community, but people throughout Massachusetts demonstrated both the grit and empathy needed to forge a new beginning. Our present and future demand the agility that the people of the Commonwealth’s business community are known to deliver. Chamber members are accelerating the region’s robust economic recovery with determination and building an equitable future for all people. We are ready to welcome a bold renaissance – a rebirth and new economy created to amplify all voices and empower every person, business, and community. Our region’s revival is our new future.

Join us as we welcome leaders in business and government, a keynote speaker, musical performances, and the newest award winners who will be inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Bostonians. You won’t want to miss it!

Under his leadership, the Foundation’s assets have doubled in size to $1.5 billion. A total of $1.9 billion in grants have been paid—80 percent of all grants since 1915—the majority to nonprofit organizations in Greater Boston. Mr. Grogan also expanded the mission of the Boston Foundation to include a powerful civic leadership role, publishing research into urban issues, holding hundreds of forums, and informing and influencing legislative solutions to some of the city’s most intractable problems, from education to housing to criminal justice reform. During Mr. Grogan’s tenure, the Foundation has also launched high-impact initiatives, such as Success Boston, StreetSafe Bosto and Skillworks—and was a founding partner of the Boston Opportunity Agenda.
