Senior Manager, HR & Operations
The Programs Internship is an exciting opportunity to support the logistical efforts of both the Programs and Learning & Development (L&D) departments. This role will support the implementation of the following programs/series: Women’s Leadership Program, Boston’s Future Leaders, Government Affairs Forums, Women’s Network Forums, Boston Interactive Media Association, and Economic Outlook. This individual will be responsible for assisting with event and program logistical planning, registration, and execution. They will support the program or series lead with all elements of the events. Additionally, there will be opportunities to support and attend sessions within the L&D programs. The Programs Intern is passionate about learning & education, interested in the Greater Boston business community, and wishes to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.
The Government Relations Manager will support GBCC’s public policy functions by being a lobbyist for the organization and assisting in developing and promoting the Chamber’s public policy priorities. They will be a driven team player who will use strong organizational and critical thinking skills to track and analyze legislation, prioritize legislative and policy matters for the Chamber’s attention and identify emerging legislative priorities. It is critical for the manager to be able to translate and communicate policy positions clearly and succinctly in writing, and verbally to key constituents, including Chamber colleagues, legislative staff, and Chamber members. The communication should be relevant and customized to the needs and priorities of each audience.
The Senior Grants Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation fundraising efforts. They will employ critical thinking, sales, and research skills in their day-to-day work. The Senior Grants Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Policy, and will collaborate with the programs, economic inclusion, policy, and finance teams. A key priority for this role will be to generate grant funding from various sources, such as private, community, and family foundations, as well as from government and other private sources. This person will need to think outside the box and proactively seek out opportunities that parallel the Foundation’s strategic goals. Strong sales leadership and persuasive selling skills are a requirement for this position.
The Director of Research will provide in-depth, original research and data analysis to support the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s public policy functions. The Director will use a wide range of data, research, and statistics related to the region’s economy, public policy environment, and emerging trends in employment and business to help evaluate how current and proposed public policies impact living and working in the Commonwealth. In partnership with the Vice President of Government Relations, the Director’s work will help inform the Chamber’s policy positions and evaluate the effectiveness of public programs and institutions. A successful applicant will have a background in research and be a driven team player who is a critical thinker, analytical, creative, and intellectually curious.
