In this session, the Chamber’s director of learning & development outlines certificate program content and dives into Visual Thinking Strategies, a methodology with replicable frameworks for creating equitable environments at work. Participants examine the effects of visual art on the brain and explore the basic domains for becoming socially and emotionally intelligent managers.
Emotional intelligence starts with self-awareness. This interactive session invites leaders to develop that self-awareness by defining the unique set of core values that form the foundation of your leadership style. Together, we'll uncover your authentic leadership presence so that you can show up with more intention and develop strategies to navigate your leadership with authenticity and adaptability.
Presented by ROYA, this session provides foundational discussion on identity building and perspective sharing under a social equity framework. This highly participatory experience prepares participants to engage in critical thinking around belonging and wellbeing for themselves and others.
Presented by Dramatic Results, this session will explore the power of play, and its positive effects on productivity, team dynamics, resilience, creativity, and overall engagement in the workplace. This fun-filled session uses a fully experiential format to give participants greater self-awareness, increase their ability to interact effectively with colleagues, and equip them with a new set of tools they can use as managers.
As a leader, you need to adapt your authentic leadership style to a variety of individuals and situations. In this workshop, you'll explore what it means to show up in a way that is “true to yourself” while also attuning to the needs and preferences of the players and goals at hand. We’ll develop skills to lead through influence rather than authority, build understanding and empathy for different work styles, and practice an approach to working successfully with people across differences.
In the final session, you’ll bring together what you’ve learned from the first five sessions to develop your own unique action plan, taking creative and innovative approaches to foster not only your own well-being at work but also the well-being of your team. Through guided discussions, we’ll contemplate the circles radiating outwards from you and develop practical ways to implement your plan with the top tips from the program’s facilitators.
This program was designed specifically for professionals at mid-level managerial and supervisory levels, or people who manage teams and also find themselves managing “up” to more senior levels. It is not designed for entry level professionals or C-suite professionals.
