As Massachusetts moves to implement recent legislation aimed at addressing the opioid epidemic, employers and employees across every industry continue to grapple with the disease’s devastating effects. This program will feature three experts in different fields who will discuss how they are addressing the problem for employers across the state.
Addiction expert, Michael Botticelli, Executive Director of the Grayken Center for Addiction at Boston Medical Center (BMC), will provide an overview of the epidemic and its impact on Massachusetts, particularly the business community. Lisa Kelly-Croswell, BMC’s Senior VP and Chief Human Resources Officer will walk through tools BMC is currently developing and using to help employers. And Safety Director Shaun Carvalho of Shawmut Design and Construction, will discuss specific steps that his company is taking to help Shawmut employees and their families.
