The Chamber is working with city and state officials to prepare for the year’s first nor’easter which is now coming through the region. We are encouraging those who live and work in Greater Boston to take precautions.
Mayor Menino has declared a snow emergency and parking ban that is now in effect as of noon today (Thursday). Governor Patrick is sending state employees home at 3pm today and is encouraging employers to consider similar action.
According to the most recent reports, this storm is expected to bring blizzard conditions with strong winds, extremely cold temperatures, and 8 – 14 inches of snow to the Greater Boston region between Thursday and Friday.
Commuters are encouraged to take public transportation and stay off the roads. Click here to access the latest service updates from the MBTA.
