The Chamber recently joined other businesses groups to encourage the House to include a provision in its supplemental budget that would conform the Massachusetts corporate and partnership tax filing deadlines with those of the federal government. In 2015, the federal government modified its due dates and subsequently all states except MA followed suit (as of the letter MA was one of two states). Non-conformity is costly and confusing for taxpayers. Governor Baker included the provision in his supplemental budget and the Chamber is urging both the House and Senate to include this necessary change in upcoming legislation.
