Today, we congratulate Alison Quirk, executive vice president, Chief Human Resources & Citizenship Officer at State Street Corporation for her well-deserved accolade as this year’s Achievement in Management, Private Sector recipient.
Alison Quirk is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Citizenship Officer at State Street Corporation, a leading provider of financial services, with more than 29,000 employees worldwide. In this position, she is responsible for all aspects of the company’s Global Human Resources and Corporate Citizenship practices, and she is the driving force behind the development of State Street’s employee culture. Quirk also serves as a member of State Street’s Management Committee, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team. She began her career at Boston Financial Data Services, Inc. and later worked at Liberty Financial Companies and FleetBoston Financial. An engaged member of the region’s civic community, Quirk is a trustee of the Boston Ballet, a board member of the Massachusetts Conference for Women, and a member of the compensation committee of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. She also volunteers as a reader through the “Big Cheese Reads” program run by Boston Partners in Education.
