Deborah C. Jackson became the fourth President of Cambridge College in 2011, bringing to the institution over 30 years of leadership expertise across a number of Boston’s leading institutions. Ms. Jackson assumed this role with a commitment to advance the mission of the College: to provide access to academically excellent, time-efficient and affordable higher education for adults for whom these opportunities may have been limited or denied.
Ms. Jackson has extensive experience serving on both non-profit and corporate boards. She currently serves on several boards including Eastern Bank and the Massachusetts Women's Forum. In 2018, she was appointed as the Lead Director of Eastern Bank—the first woman and second person of color to serve in the role in the 200-year history of the corporation. She has recently served as the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts and serves on the American Council on Education’s Commission on Educational Attainment and Innovation. She brings a broad perspective on the higher education sector and the emerging and growing needs of the employer sector.
This program is for members only and by invitation.
