Join us for our Annual Forum with Governor Charlie Baker. At last year’s event, Governor Baker spoke at length about the progress his administration has made improving the state of the MBTA, and broke news with his announcement that the search had begun to find a new MBTA General Manager. Since taking office in January 2015, Governor Charlie Baker has been focused on making Massachusetts a great place to live, work, start a business and raise a family, while delivering a customer-service oriented state government that is as hard working as the people of the Commonwealth, including investments in:
- Bolstering local aid for our schools and communities;
- Investing in a more reliable public transportation system, including $2.8 billion into roadway and bridge projects; and
- Helping fight the opioid and heroin epidemic.
He has supported robust business sectors by reforming the Commonwealth’s regulatory environment, holding the line on taxes and advancing efforts to rein in energy costs. And he has worked to ensure that Massachusetts continues to be a national leader in education, investing more than $4.6 billion in Chapter 70 education funding — the highest level of local education aid in state history. Don’t miss out on what is sure to be an excellent 2018 program!
