Day 9 of “10 Days of TOYL” with Sen. Linda Dorcena Forry

Today marks Day 9 of the “10 Days of TOYL,” leading up to this coming Tuesday’s 2013 Ten Outstanding Young Leaders awards – a celebration of the emerging talent across the Greater Boston community.

As part of this, we learn more about one of the state’s top emerging politicians, State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry. In eight years of public service within the Massachusetts legislature (she previously served as a State Representative), Forry has brought positive change to education, the economy, and business development throughout her home district of Boston – and across the Commonwealth.

Congrats to Linda on this honor. We’re excited to celebrate with you on Tuesday.

It’s still not too late to join us too. Click here for how you can enjoy a great evening of networking, inspiration, and celebrating Boston.

State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry

In a landslide election held last month, Linda Dorcena Forry was elected to represent the First Suffolk District in the Massachusetts State Senate. She previously served as State Representative for the Commonwealth’s 12th Suffolk district, a diverse and thriving cross-section that includes parts of Boston and Milton. As a State Representative, Linda has championed improvements to the state’s education system, job creation, and business development efforts. She has also been strongly committed to community development efforts across the state, access to high quality health care, housing affordability, effective public safety policies, growth of emerging technologies, and preservation of the state’s precious natural resources. Linda currently serves on a number of boards, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and College Bound Dorchester.
