We announced today that presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin will deliver the keynote address at the Chamber’s 2013 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 8 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
Doris Kearns Goodwin is a presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose work includes Lyndon Johnson & The American Dream, The Fitzgeralds and the Kennedys, and No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The American Home Front During World War II. Her most recent book, a monumental history of Abraham Lincoln entitled Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, was published in October 2005 and is the basis of Steven Spielberg’s highly acclaimed film Lincoln. Goodwin is currently at work on a new book about the “progressive era,” focused on Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft, and the golden age of journalism.
