Chamber Announces Hire of Jodi-Tatiana Charles as its First Director of Business and Community Inclusion

Boston, MA – The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hire of Jodi-Tatiana Charles as its first Director of Business and Community Inclusion. In her role, Charles will support David Brown, the Chamber’s recently hired Vice President of Innovation Leadership. Brown and Charles will work together to address opportunities within the growing and changing business community of Boston by providing support, networking and advocacy for Greater Boston’s businesses. Specifically, Charles is tasked with driving inclusionary initiatives to position the Chamber as a key partner for businesses of all kinds and sizes and for members of all backgrounds.

In her role, Charles will lead the design and management of a plan to bring awareness of the Chamber brand to a diverse group of stakeholders, building new messaging that communicates the Chamber’s value to a broad business audience. Charles will also be responsible for strategically connecting with companies outside of traditional Chamber business sectors, and she will own discussions regarding inclusion of all kinds helping to bring a wider range of viewpoints to the Chamber on key issues of access and opportunity.

Charles is "Brandographer ™" and Founder of La Capoise Galerie, a branding and marketing firm dedicated to educating entrepreneurs, nonprofits and small-business professionals on the importance of growing their personal brands. Via La Capoise Galerie, Charles served as the Media & Community Outreach Coordinator for MassChallenge, where she was responsible for creating and executing marketing, branding and media initiatives and activities. Charles also served as the Program Director and Marketing Consultant for the Massachusetts Conference for Women, and was the Deputy Press Secretary for Governor Mitt Romney. Charles has also produced the award winning NECN program NewsNight hosted by the late Chet Curtis and Jim Braude, and demonstrated her leadership as WXKS Associate Producer for the legendary radio program The Matty in the Morning Show, where she was nominated for "Producer of the Year".

Charles received a dual MBA in Global Management and Strategic Marketing from Babson College and her bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University. She lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
