Senior Manager, HR & Operations
The Senior Grants Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation fundraising efforts. They will employ critical thinking, sales, and research skills in their day-to-day work. The Senior Grants Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Policy, and will collaborate with the programs, economic inclusion, policy, and finance teams. A key priority for this role will be to generate grant funding from various sources, such as private, community, and family foundations, as well as from government and other private sources. This person will need to think outside the box and proactively seek out opportunities that parallel the Foundation’s strategic goals. Strong sales leadership and persuasive selling skills are a requirement for this position.
The Director, Policy & Research will support the Chamber’s public policy functions through in-depth and original research and analysis. The Director will use data, research, and other information to develop and inform policy, legislative, and regulatory recommendations, and arguments. The successful applicant will be a driven team player who is a critical thinker, analytical, creative, and intellectually curious.
Reports to: Senior Director, Member Services Date: January 2024 Position Overview: The Member Services Coordinator will work as a relationship manager to engage the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s members in various membership related initiatives. They will also support the overall retention and engagement efforts of the organization. This position was designed for someone with a strong background in client relationship management, and knowledge of the region’s business landscape. As the position contains a broad range of responsibilities, it requires an individual who is energetic, creative, strategic, and able to seamlessly move between various tasks throughout the day. In this role, the Member Services Coordinator will participate in the Chamber’s programs and events with high-profile representatives in the Boston business community. They will be responsible for managing relationships with members as assigned, as well as assisting in the daily operations of member retention. They will manage the department inbox and respond to inquiries, be responsible for database upkeep, and prepare materials for member meetings and ad hoc projects, as necessary. They will support the Chamber’s engagement initiatives to ensure members are utilizing their benefits, and that retention goals are being met. Responsibilities:
